Educational Philosophy


The founding philosophy of Lordland College is to provide quality educations in the field of Theology and Religious Counseling. Our educational experiences are fostered by the personal relationships, intellectual communications, and exchanging of ideas between students and faculty members. The instructional programs of Lordland College are designed to challenge students not only to acquire knowledge, but also to develop the skills of critical analysis, reasoning, creativity, and self-expression. Our traits come and emerges from the institution’s relatively small size and commitment to effective teaching, high standards of scholarship, ongoing professional development, and high academic standards in the faculty members, staff, administration, and students.

    • Biblical Foundations Statements

    • Article Ⅰ – The Bible
    We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, wholly without error as originally given by God, and is sufficient as our only infallible rule of faith and practice as a Christian. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21)

    •Article Ⅱ – Special Creation
    We believe in the special creation of the existing space time universe and all its basic systems and kinds of organisms in the six literal days of the creation week, deserved in Genesis. The universe, including life, was directly created process.

    • Article Ⅲ – Historicity
    We believe in the full historicity and perspicuity of the Biblical records of primeval history, including the literal existence of Adam and Eve as the progenitors of all people, the literal fall and resultant divine curse on the creation, the worldwide catechism deluge, and the origin of nations and languages at the tower of Babel. (Genesis 1-2; Colossians 1:16-17)

    • Article Ⅳ – God
    We believe in the one true and living God, the creator and sustainer of all things. He is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable. He is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is the head of the God-head. The Kingdom shall be delivered into His hands. (Exodus 20:2-3)

    • Article V – Jesus Christ
    The Son is the promised Messiah of the Old Testament. Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, hence the Godman. He was tempted in all points, yet without sin. He died on the cross to redeem man, rose again from the dead to justify the believer, and ascended to the right hand of God the Father where He intercedes for the believer. (Colossians 1:15-17; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

    • Article Ⅵ – The Holy Spirit
    The Holy Spirit is the one sent from God to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, of judgment, and to regenerate and cleanse from sin. he is resident in the believers to guide, teach, and strengthen them. (John 1:33; Romans 14-16)

    • Article Ⅶ – Man
    We believe that man was created innocent. Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and sinned. Because of this, men have been born in sin since that time and are by nature the children of wrath. Man cannot save himself. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can save man. (Genesis 3:16; Romans 3: 10-19)

    • Article Ⅷ – Satan
    We believe that Satan is a personal devil who with his angels carries on the work of iniquity is this world. Sin is basically rebellion against God, and the end of sin is eternal separation from God. (Matthew 4:1-11)

    • Article Ⅸ – Salvation
    We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Savior from sin. He atoned for our sins on the cross and rose again for our justification. Apart from Jesus Christ there is no salvation. All men are under condemnation through personal sin, and escape comes only through the righteousness of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit regenerates the one who, by faith, makes a life commitment to Jesus(Romans 3:23-25)

    • Article X – The Church
    We believe that a New Testament church is a voluntary association of baptized believers in Christ who have covenanted together to follow the teaching of the New Testament doctrine, worship, and practice. We believe the only two ordinances are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that a church is a democratic organization served by pastors, elders, deacons, and evangelists(Ephesians 1:22, 23; I Timothy 3:1-13)

    • Article Ⅺ – Resurrection
    We believe in the final resurrection of all men, just and unjust. We believe that those who commit their lives to Jesus Christ during this life will be raised to everlasting life, but those who are not committed to Jesus Christ in this life will be raised to everlasting condemnation. (Matthew 28:6-7; I Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 3:21; I Thessalonica 4:18; I Corinthians 15:51-53; Revelation 20:1-6)

    • Article Ⅻ – Last Things
    We believe in the future, personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth to judge and purge sin, to establish His eternal Kingdom and to consummate and fulfill His purpose in the works of creation and redemption with eternal rewards and punishments. (I Corinthians 15:51-58; 2 Peter 3:1-13; Revelation 20:1-6)
